Dear family and friends,

On behalf of Cambodia Retirement Village (CRV), I am glad to inform you that we are going to have an event called "Women and Development Program" at the CRV center on 29th Oct 2011. Having seen the challenges of widows in Cham Bak village, Khmer citizen who wish not to mention her name on the website. She currently living in the US would like to offer gift to 45 widows and 25 elderly people in the village. Each of them will receive one pack of the gift. In the pack there are 10000Riel, one scarf, and five packs of noodle. Her generosity is going to reduce some difficulties of the widows who are responsible to take care a whole family hardly and our grandpas and grandmas. Good nutrition, as you know, is so vital in fighting off the challenges and difficulties of their lives that are so prevalent in Cham Bak in Village, Prey Veng province.

"The reality is that there are still thousands of Cambodian woman living in poverty; even under $1 a day. Joining her has given me the opportunity to help such people."
